Wholly-owned by media giant Naspers, its operations include newspapers, magazines, internet ventures, distribution companies, printing works, books and private education. To date, the group boasts six dailies, two weeklies and three Sunday newspapers in its stable, as well as 43 community newspapers countrywide. The magazine division includes over 51 magazines in virtually every sector of the market. The internet business offers the leading brands in the news, motoring, property, health and food categories, with nearly one million unique visitors each month.

CaxtonToday Caxton / CTP is recognised as the largest publishers and printers of books, magazines, newspapers and commercial print in South Africa.

CTP was recognised as one of the top companies in the Financial Mails’ 2002 survey. CTP is involved in various fields of the publishing and printing business i.e. newspapers, magazines, commercial print, book printing, stationery, packaging and labels, as well as manufacturing ink for web presses. The Group employs approximately 5 500 people based throughout South Africa.

The Newspaper Division stables 88 free and sold Caxton owned or co-owned titles.
