PRESS RELEASE Atinco announced its dating Internet and cellular service The service, although available via the internet, first and foremost is accessed via a cellular phone through the cellular phones WAP capabilities and SMS Mexico City, October 2007 – Atinco, the leader in cell phone technology and content, through its brand Entretiene, announced its “Couple Search” internet and cellular portal vaQva (www.vaqva.com). It is well known that the single community in Mexico is growing and that on-line dating internet portals are hugely successful. However, the main problem with these portals is that they require an internet connection and a credit card payment to access the site. This limits considerably the number of potential users. VaQva proposes an alternative to these problems. The service, although available via the internet, first and foremost is accessed via a cellular phone through the cellular phones WAP capabilities and SMS. The number of users that can benefit from on-line dating is augmented substantially since cell phone penetration is much higher than the internets. The cost of the service is only $25 pesos monthly for the Silver subscription and $ 50 pesos monthly for the Gold subscription. For a short time only, there is a promotional price of $6 pesos for six months ($1 peso per month) for the Gold subscription. Comparing this price to internet dating portals for the same period, vaQva is the most economic solution on the market. Payments are easily made by SMS via your cellular phone by just sending a message to the code "VAQVA 115" to 88288. There are no security issues as no credit card information needs to be sent via the internet. VaQva surpasses the number of services offered by its competitors as the portal is based on Web 2.0 technology. Besides the traditional basic and advanced searches, the users can include photos, videos, music, create blogs and guest books, send and receive anonymous messages, kisses, etc. via the Internet or your cellular. Once the user has subscribed via the portal, they can immediately begin to search for their ideal mate via their cellular phone or the internet—age, sex etc. The system returns a list of all members that comply with the search criteria and displays photos. Then the user is free to send a message, a kiss, leave a comment on their blog… Personal information is securely guarded, and is it is up to each individual member if they wish to share their profile information with other members. VaQva is the first multimedia Web 2.0 portal in Mexico (with sound, video, photos, blog, etc.) accessible via a cellular phone. For example, if a user sends a video taken from his phone or his own video camera, other members can see it via their cellular phones at no extra cost from VaQva (an additional charge may apply from your cellular phone service provider). As opposed to other portals, vaQva focuses on singles 25 years and older, who live alone and are not interested in searching for someone in a bar. These singles are interested in finding someone with the same interests as them. Thus, vaQva has created relationships with companies in the travel industry, restaurant industry, etc, to help vaQva members receive special prices for single trips, single parties, and dinners etc. VaQva´s objective is to be become the portal of reference for the single community in Mexico. A place where single people can get to know other people who share their same interests, find news regarding the single community in Mexico, and be permanently connected to this information via their cellular phone.
