PRESS RELEASE

Atinco´s software will be available for iPhone and iPod Touch

The software will be available via the AppStore in all iPhone and iPod Touch Generations

Mexico City, September 2008 – Atinco, the leader in cell phone technology and content, through its brand “Entretiene”, announced it has been accepted into Apple’s channel development partner program and is the first Mexican company to receive the programming certificate to develop applications for the iPhone.  On September 9th, Steve Jobs announced that the AppStore had obtained the record figure of 100 million applications sold in only 60 days of operations. Also, Apple’s registered clients using the “one-click” purchase program (where clients have credit information on file) increased to 65 million. This makes AppStore one the top telephone application sales channels in the world. Atinco´s applications will be available through the AppStore.

"This partner program is a very important strategic step for Atinco.” comments Jorge Pascual, Vice President of Worldwide Operations for Atinco. "The iPhone does not only represent third generation mobile technology but is the ideal platform to use applications and play games.  Until now, users did not feel comfort using phones for anything else but talking and sending messages.  The iPhone makes it possible to know that a telephone can be much more, and Atinco sees this as a great opportunity.”, stated Pascual. Atinco continues to consolidate its technological innovative position and during the next few months will develop a specialized iPhone software engineering group focused in two areas.  The first area will focus on developing games to be sold directly from Apple’s AppStore - games such as "Ask 8-Ball", the best known game of prediction in the Anglo-Saxon world, and "Dominó", very well known in Latin America.

The second area will include a team of engineers that will develop custom-made applications for corporate clients.  "With this line of business we will put our software development engineering department within reach of our corporate clients", comments Claudia Cordero, Country Manager of Atinco in Mexico.  "Businesses can take advantage of Atinco´s development know how and optimize their business processes by the means of a custom-made iPhone application developed at a very competitive cost ".  For example, this department can develop logistical enterprise solutions that take advantage of the iPhone’s integrated GPS technology to control a company’s fleet of trucks or an instant sales order processing application enabling sales departments to take advantage of the iPhone’s 3G connection power to send customers orders instantaneously.

Atinco foresees strong business development in this line of business and the ability to create many new engineering jobs for qualified engineers in Mexico for applications to be used not only in Mexico but also exported to the United States.
